Combining this insight with the technical depth and visionary design approach from both organizations will allow rapid generation, evaluation, and development of new concepts, prototypes and solutions. </p>

<p>Using the download depot developed by asknet, Adobe enables research and teaching institutions to offer attractive download versions of its software to their students and university staff, which can be purchased directly from a universitys branded online shop. The ordering process is very simple for authorized users: They log on to the shop using their digital identity  ensuring that only people who have been approved can access Adobe offerings at the most competitive price. Once logged on, the user can order the software in the corresponding online shop, download, and then activate it. The licenses are provided by and billed via the universitys trading partner. </p>

<p>To date, students have only been able to purchase the popular Adobe tools in a box. As the digital fulfillment service provider, asknet makes it possible to deliver the Adobe products in a downloadable format. <p>The patent-pending Down Pore self-draining technology consists of three specially shaped drainage grooves on one of the narrow ends of each 4 by 8 panel.  The unique design resists clogging from sawdust or adhesive, and allows water to drain even if the panels are not properly gapped.  Preventing standing water reduces water absorption and helps maintain the floor systems integrity.</p>

<p>One of our challenges in exploration and production decision making is how to describe PetroVR software as a simulation environment, especially to new users who are primarily seeking an optimization tool, summarized Caniglia at the presentation. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Leandro Caniglia is chief technologist and director of software development for Caesar Systems, LLC and its decision making software product PetroVR, which is based on the Smalltalk programming platform. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Before selecting a preference, understand the differences</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>In his presentation, Leandro Caniglia differentiated optimization algorithms in exploration and production projects from the PetroVR simulation environment: A simulation environment is meant to reproduce the dynamics of a complex process to generate insights into decision alternatives, while the optimization algorithms help decide on the specific options that minimize or maximize the outcome after it is a well-defined model, said Caniglia. In other words, before selecting a preference, it is helpful to know the principal differences you are dealing with, Caniglia added. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Simulated annealing is well understood in thermodynamics. It was chosen for this years presentation to the ESUG International Smalltalk Conference because it is frequently applied to a widely known optimization problem, the so-called Traveling Salesman problem, which is inherently hard, yet simple to visualize: given a number of destination cities (usually 25) find the shortest pathway that connects all of them. This problem grows exponentially with the number of cities and quickly requires billions of hours of computer runtime over an increasing number of years to solve. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Leandro Caniglia has expanded on his presentation Simulated Annealing in the PetroVR Blog, providing further insight into how the equations of simulated annealing help oil and gas companies solve inherently hard exploration and production problems, including these highlights:&#13;<br />

   Some hydrocarbon exploration and production optimization problems are complex, where a deterministic answer cannot be reached with confidence, such as finding Correlation Coefficients &#13;<br />
   In these complex problems, uncertain quantities are not always independent, such as the variables that define the Initial Rate and Reserves of an oil or gas well&#13;<br />
   Correlating two random variables in this type of hydrocarbon exploration and production problem can require billions of iterations, such as by sampling the variables, and then rearranging the samples in order to approach the desired Correlation Coefficient &#13;<br />
   PetroVR performs this process using simulated annealing, which is so efficient that it takes only a few milliseconds to complete, compared to the years it would take using algebraic equations

<p> Node-H announces its 32-user HSPA+ Small-Cell software solution for use in Enterprise and Outdoor devices. The software is ready for the 32-user SoCs which are being announced at the Femto Forum Femtocells Americas conference in San Diego.</p>

<p>Node-H 3GPP Standards-based femtocell and Small-Cell software is already in use in residential settings. Node-H has also demonstrated 16- and 24-user enterprise solutions. Now, as the SoC device capability increases, Node-H is announcing its 32-user solution which is specifically optimized for Enterprise and Outdoor Small Cells. The solution supports HSPA+ with 21Mbps downlink and 5.7Mbps uplink, and will be upgraded to 42Mbps and 11Mbps as the SoCs support higher rates.</p>

<p>Enterprise femtocells require higher output power and full handover capability. Node-H software includes full Femto-to-Femto handover including simultaneous speech and data calls and is standards compliant and proven in multiple eco-systems. This allows businesses to provide excellent coverage and capacity, secure services and seamless interoperability with the macro network.</p>

<p>Outdoor Small Cells can support a cell radius of up to 3 kilometers. By integrating Small Cells with the larger Macro-cellular network, operators can create a heterogeneous network. The Small-Cell devices can be used as in-fill coverage in shopping centers, sports stadiums, airports, railways stations and public spaces.</p>

<p>Using low power and self-configuration, Small Cells can be deployed at a fraction of the cost of Macro-cellular equipment, and increase coverage and capacity in hot-spots, or provide coverage for not-spots meeting highly variable end-user demand.</p>

<p>Operators are looking for a range of Small-Cell solutions. OEMs or ODMs who license the Node-H software can cover part or all of that range, with a guarantee of inter-operability and with a roadmap to LTE and dual-mode cells, says Mike Cronin, CEO of Node-H. </p>

<p>McCann E-Investigators regularly receive calls from clients who are concerned that their ex-spouse or soon to be ex-spouse has compromised their laptop, desktop or smart phone. Says Dan Weiss, Partner at McCann E-Investigations.   Suspicion is often raised when the ex-spouse has knowledge of  information that was meant to be private, such as attorney/client communications. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Spyware, key loggers and other software designed to eavesdrop and spy electronically are easy????to purchase and install.????The software is inexpensive and can be bought over the internet and installed in a matter of minutes.   In most situations, the physical computer must be present for the installation, however, remote installation is also possible. The ability to spy live on an ex-spouse or soon to be ex-spouse is easy, cheap and produces real and useful information for the ex-spouse who is willing to take the risk.   It is also illegal.   It is classified as illegal wiretapping and unlawful interception of electronic communication and is a second-degree felony that can carry a 20-year sentence.   </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>The issue most of our clients face it that it is difficult to prove and document the installation of spyware.   Forensic tools can show details of the software installation including when it was used and in some cases where the information is being sent.   It is also possible to gather enough information to turn the case over to law enforcement authorities.   Our experience is that law enforcement is more likely to listen to a complaint if it filed with a detailed third party expert report</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>In cases of suspected electronic digital wiretapping it is important to take the following steps:</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>1. Contact a forensic investigator on another mobile device other than the suspected unit</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>2. Do not attempt to find the spyware on your own.  It is likely you will containment the evidence</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>3. Leave the computer or mobile device as you found it and get it to the forensic examiner as soon as possible</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>4. In the case of suspected &#8220;hacking&#8221; of your smart phone, purchase a pre-paid phone for secure communication until your phone can be examined</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>The forensic examiner will create a forensic image of the laptop, desktop or mobile phone and perform a detailed examination of the device for spyware.   Once the forensic examination has been complete the spyware can be removed and commercial grade software to defend against future spyware will be installed.  The device may require the installation of a more complete firewall and active spyware monitoring in the case of an educated and resourceful ex-spouse.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>If spyware is discovered, the E-investigator should work closely with you and your attorney to determine next steps.   Sometimes it is best to leave the spyware and use it to send false or misleading information.   In some cases it might be best to send a message that would cause the ex-spouse to show themselves and help to prove that they are benefiting from spying on you.   </p>

Tried and tested levels of secure and safe processing of transactions has over the years stepped up customer confidence in ATM services, and today the use of ATM is moving beyond simple cash dispensing to use advanced self-service functions such as e-ticketing, bill payment, pass book updates, third party product marketing, and DVD rentals. <p>Hackers are devising new attacks and new ways to slip  past security measures every day. One of their favorite kind targets is a <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site. Three quarters of all attacks on  <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">sites</span> are designed to hamper the forms,  log-in pages, shopping carts on online shops and other <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> content. Since the design of <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> applications make them accessible at  anytime from anywhere, it is important that a <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site has protection that works well all  the time. This not only protects important consumer details such as credit card  numbers; it also protects the <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site  itself.</p>
<p>Even the best firewalls, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and other  protective measures will not enough to guard <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> applications against every attack. It is  infinitely more difficult for security professionals to figure out what new and  innovative trick will be used to bypass security than it is for the hackers to  find that trick</p>
<p>It can seem as if there is no solution to this problem.  What is needed is a program that can check <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> applications and further improve the  security. That program is Acunetix WVS. It deals specifically with SQL Injection  and other vulnerabilities like XSS. It helps to secure <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">sites</span> from harsh attacks, checks for  scripting in cross-<span class="highlightedSearchTerm">sites</span>, and  strengthens the authentication pages and passwords. It also audits shopping  carts in an effort to prevent attacks. With the security audit reports peace of  mind can finally be gained.</p>
<p>CRLF injection, directory traversal, code  execution and file inclusion attacks are other ways to cripple a <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site&#8217;s security. Authentication as well  as input validation attacks are also likely.</p>
<p>The Google Hacking Database  (GHDB) can identify important data like the logon pages, network information and  so on and so forth that might be vulnerable, making it an important tool to  improving <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site security. With the  Acunetix, the queries wedged in the Google Hacking Database will be launched  long before something goes wrong.</p>
<p>Acunetix gives suggestions on how to  correct any problems through its report generator that will create quick reports  and data to zero in any vulnerabilities that might exist.</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s vital that passwords be  configured and protected. Input configuration should utilize HTML form fillers  as a matter of course. This allows testing how certain occasions and different  inputs influence how the site behaves.</p>
<p>Important things to  consider:</p>
<p>1. Is the <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site  ready and prepared for a dictionary attack?</p>
<p>2. Support from other  technologies such as PHP, CGI and ASP.</p>
<p>3. Search directories for weak  permissions</p>
<p>4. Detect errors in pages as early as possible</p>
<p>5.  Re-auditing all changes in the <span class="highlightedSearchTerm">Web</span> site  to check for new vulnerabilities</p>
